Biomasti

Composition:
1 ml of oil suspension contains active substance: Amoxicillin trihydrate 50 mg.

Description:
White or yellowish oil suspension with a characteristic odor. Upon standing, separation into layers may occur.

Indications for use:
Used in cattle and small ruminants for acute and chronic mastitis caused by streptococci, staphylococci, rod-shaped bacteria, corynebacteria, and pseudomonads (except the causative agent of tuberculosis).

Dosage and administration:
Shake well before use.

  • Cattle: Intracisternally, 10 ml into each affected quarter of the udder, once every 12–24 hours.

  • Sheep and goats: Intracisternally, 5 ml into each affected quarter of the udder, once every 12–24 hours.

  • Dry period: Intracisternally, 10 ml after 10–14 days following the last milking.

Before administration, the affected quarter of the udder must be emptied (the milk must be discarded), and the teat disinfected. Insert the catheter or injector tube into the teat canal and carefully administer the product into the affected quarter. After removal of the catheter/tube, press the teat canal for 1–2 minutes. Perform a light massage of the teat and udder to distribute the preparation.

Withdrawal period:
During treatment with Biomasti, milk from healthy quarters may be used for animal feed after boiling. Milk from treated quarters can be used for food/feed purposes only 2 days after the last application of the product.

Dosage form: 10 ml single-dose polyethylene syringe.

Storage conditions: Store in a dry, cool, light-protected place at 15–25°C.
